Jordana Nelson

Jordana Nelson is an attorney in the area of commercial real estate transactions, affordable housing projects and economic incentives. Upon graduating from law school in 2005, Jordana joined the Public Finance Practice Group at Bass, Berry, & Sims where she practiced for five years before pursuing a position as General Counsel and Vice President of Redevelopment for Knoxville's Community Development Corporation, responsible for its redevelopment activities, including an active tax increment financing program and redevelopment of existing public housing. Later she was General Counsel of LHP Capital, LLC, a private developer and manager of multi-family housing properties, where she was responsible for general legal matters and actively involved in affordable housing projects utilizing the LIHTC program. She returned to Bass, Berry & Sims, in 2016 and is of Counsel. Jordana earned a Bachelor's degree in business administration from Western Carolina University and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law. Jordana is a member of many community organizations, including the Executive Women's Association and Leadership Knoxville and has served on several community boards including the Executive Women’s Association, the Historic Tennessee Theatre Foundation and City Center Events.
