Mark Heinz

Mark Heinz received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee in 1994. Mark has taken an active interest in community involvement, specifically with regard to historic downtown redevelopment. After working on Brownlow School Lofts with Dewhirst Properties, Mark partnered with David Dewhirst in 2005 as renovation began on the 15 story Holston building. Mark’s role within Dewhirst Properties is primarily architecture and construction administration. Mark’s current and previous community involvement includes service on the boards of the Historic Bijou Theatre, City of Knoxville IDB, Knoxville Museum of Art, Sequoyah Elementary Foundation, Nucleus Knoxville (past president), the SAE House Corporation, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of East Tennessee and the Knox County Library Foundation. Mark has volunteered with East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, Young Life and The American Heart Association. Mark was a member in the 2009 class of Leadership Knoxville.
